Biography:

Saty is a member of the Insurance Defense, Insurance Coverage and Workers Compensation practice groups, and he works primarily in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage, commercial litigation, workers compensation, construction litigation, toxic torts, products liability, premises liability, personal injury and subrogation claims. Saty assists in the handling of cases for individual, institutional and commercial clients, including jury and bench trials, administrative and arbitration hearings, and appeals in the State and Federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is active in several bar associations and is an integral part of the firm’s legal assistance and legal education programs.<<For more biographical information>>>

Saty was born in Andhra Pradesh, India on March 30, 1981. He grew up in central Florida and graduated from Palm Bay High School, where he played tennis and competed on the academic team.

He attended Northwestern University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. At Northwestern, he was a research assistant in the Institute for Policy Research, where he analyzed the effectiveness of community policing in Chicago. He also wrote for the Daily Northwestern sports section and played intramural basketball.

In 2003, Saty moved to New Orleans to attend Tulane University Law School, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2006. At Tulane, Saty was a student attorney in the Civil Litigation Clinic representing individuals in employment discrimination cases. In addition, he earned the honors designation in his trial advocacy class. During the summers after his first and second year of law school, he worked as a law clerk in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago and the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s office in Washington, D.C respectively. After Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans, he attended the fall semester of his third year at Northwestern University School of Law, where he worked at the Center on Wrongful Convictions.

After graduating from law school, Saty served as law clerk to the Honorable Herbert B. Dixon of the District of Columbia Superior Court. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and South Asian Bar Association of Washington, D.C., where he volunteers on the Criminal Justice Committee. He joined McCarthy Wilson in September of 2007 as an associate attorney.

In his spare time, Saty likes to play basketball and tennis and follow politics. He currently resides with his fiancée, Helen, in Bethesda, Maryland.
