Biography:
Jeff is a member of the Insurance Defense, Workers Compensation and Subrogation practice groups, and he works primarily in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, commercial litigation, construction litigation, products liability, premises liability, personal injury, workers compensation and subrogation. Jeff has either handled or assisted in the handling of hundreds of cases for individual, institutional and commercial clients, including jury and bench trials, workers compensation and similar administrative hearings, arbitrations, and appellate proceedings in the State and Federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia.<<For more biographical information>>>
Jeff was born in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1978, and grew up in nearby Wappingers Falls. He attended college at Binghamton University (SUNY), and graduated in 1999 with a B.A. in history. During college, he was involved in a wide array of organizations, including the school Jazz and Wind Ensembles, the campus radio station, WHRW-FM, and Harper's Ferry Student Volunteer Ambulance Service, where he served as an EMT.
Jeff came to Maryland in 1999 to attend the University of Maryland School of Law, located in Baltimore. During law school, he served on the Student Bar Association for two years, and was an Articles Editor for the Journal of Health Care Law and Policy. He also pitched for the school softball team. In 2000, he had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Jeff received his J.D. in 2002, and was also awarded a Certificate in Health Law.
Upon graduation, Jeff served as law clerk to the Hon. Marvin S. Kaminetz, Administrative Judge for St. Mary's County, Maryland. He joined McCarthy Wilson in August 2004. He is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia State and Federal Bars, and is an active participant in the Bar Association of Montgomery County, where he serves on the Professionalism Committee.
During his free time, Jeff is an avid cook, and also enjoys softball, golf, travel and reading. He lives in Gaithersburg with his wife, Wendy.
