Shari Cohen Boscolo

Shari was born in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1961 and lived there until college. She attended the University of Vermont and graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1983. While attending UB, she served as a resident advisor, orientation aide and performed in many school musicals. In 1986, she graduated from The American University, Washington College of Law, where she served as president of the Moot Court Board.

After graduation, Shari worked as an associate in the litigation department of a midsized general practice law firm located in Rockville, Maryland. She was named a partner in 1991. In 1993, she left the firm and began work as one of the staff counsel for The Maryland Insurance Group and Zurich American Insurance Co. In the past, Shari has been active in the Bar Association for Montgomery County, serving as Chair of the New Practitioner's Section and as Chair of the Employment Law Section. She has also participated in the Bar Revue, the Association's annual musical comedy revue, the Montgomery County Inns of Court and the Alan J. Goldstein Inns of Court. In 1997, she was an Associate Professor at the University of Maryland's University College, where she taught Torts in the Paralegal program.

Shari and her husband Benjamin, also an attorney, reside in Ashton, Maryland with their twins, Stephen and Alexandra, and their daughter, Elizabeth.
