Kathleen A. Fawcett

Biography:

Kathleen is a member of the Insurance Defense, Commercial Litigation and Construction Law practice groups, and she works primarily in areas of general civil litigation, toxic torts, insurance defense, construction litigation, products liability, and personal injury. Kathleen assists in the handling of cases for individual, institutional and commercial clients. She is an active member in the Maryland Bar and Montgomery County Bar Associations and served on the Committee for the Lawyer's Campaign Against Hunger.

Kathleen was born in Frederick, Maryland in 1985, and was raised in Hagerstown, Maryland. She was valedictorian of South Hagerstown High School before attending the Catholic University of America for her undergraduate degree. Kathleen graduated suma cum laude from Catholic in 2007 with a BA in Philosophy Pre-Law and a minor in Politics Pre-Law. She then went on to graduate from Catholic University Columbus School of Law magna cum laude in 2010 as an Associate Editor of the Catholic University Law Review. Kathleen began clerking for McCarthy Wilson in 2008 and continued throughout law school. During law school, in addition to working, Kathleen spent much of her time as a Site Coordinator and volunteer for the Homeless Children's Playtime Project, an organization that she continues to volunteer with today. In 2010, she was named a "Hometown Hero" by former talk show host Jenny Jones and received a grant for her work with the organization. Kathleen enjoys working with children, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family in her spare time. She lives in Washington, D.C.
